Are you an enthusiastic skier? Do you like to ski on endless slopes with plenty of snow from fall to spring? Well, welcome to Ötztal. We’ve got several outstanding ski areas with fantastic snow guaranteed. Take your pick between Hochoetz-Kühtai, Sölden or Obergurgl.
The Hochötz-Kühtai ski resort is the ski area closest to our hotel in Sautens. It has 80 kilometers (50 miles) of slopes and 24 lifts and is ideal for families and kids. Our guests can use a free shuttle bus to the ski area, which runs several times per day. The bus will take you directly to the base station of the Acherkoglbahn cable car in Ötz, which is only a few minutes away. A nice hot bowl of skiers’ soup will be waiting for you at our hotel once you hop off the bus again on your way home.

Most skiers have heard of the famous Sölden ski resort. Rightly so. With its 145 kilometers (90 miles) of perfectly prepared slopes and 33 modern lifts it is one of the best ski resorts in Europe. Après-ski is big there as well. You should at least once tour the Sölden bars during your ski holiday in Ötztal. A free ski bus will take you from Sautens to Sölden in about 30 minutes.

The Obergurgl-Hochgurgl ski area at the end of the Ötztal Valley is also called the ‘diamond of the Alps’. 110 kilometers (nearly 70 miles) of slopes and 24 lifts do justice to this name. The resort is located at a very high altitude and has perfect snow conditions all through spring.
